After 26 years of crafting premium natural skincare and bath products, and 16 years building Garden Isle Bath & Body, I'm thrilled to finally launch this blog. It feels fitting that my first post centers on a passion I thought I'd left behind: candle making.
For a while, I stepped away from candles to focus on our core skincare and body care lines. But as any true maker knows, creativity doesn't stay dormant for long. A few months ago, the urge to blend fragrance and intention into wax became impossible to ignore. The result? A return to premium soy candles—crafted with the same care and island-inspired philosophy that defines everything we do.
This morning, I poured two new scents destined for the holiday season: Cinnamon Orange and Northwoods Pine. The Cinnamon Orange brings warmth and citrus brightness, evoking cozy gatherings and golden sunsets. The Northwoods Pine carries earthy, forest-like notes—a nod to my Minnesota roots and the cool, crisp days ahead.
Every candle we make honors the same ethos as our skincare: thoughtfully sourced ingredients, reef-safe principles, and a commitment to quality over quantity. These aren't mass-produced novelties—they're small-batch creations made with intention.
